West Wittering Beach – One of the UK's finest sandy beaches… and it's just a stroll away
Scott's Farm is in a unique and enviable position approximately a 10 minute stroll from the fabulous West Wittering beach. At just under a mile long and 400m wide when the tide is fully out there's always plenty of space to have incredible, fun-filled beach days.
This is one of a select number of beaches in the UK that can proudly fly the Blue Flag proving that West Wittering beach is clean, safe and meets the highest environmental standards, as well as the international bathing water quality standards, and it proudly boasts further recognition having been approved by the Marine Conservation Society.
As the tide retreats it leaves shallow lagoons of warm water - perfect for youngsters to splash and play, or if you're a thrill-seeker why not hire a surf or body-board.
It's a truly magical location and it's here for you to enjoy.

Take a walk on the wild side…
If nature and wildlife is your thing you won't be disappointed. At the end of West Wittering beach are the East Head sand dunes, a group of sand dunes with lovely wooden slatted pathways that allow you to explore. Large areas are freely open to the public with far smaller areas cordoned off allowing nesting birds to have the space they need to nurture their young. It's a great place to have fun and a fantastic opportunity to learn - whatever age you are.
You'll see a wide range of plants including Sea Lavender, Rice Grass, Tree Lupin, Yellow Horned Poppy and Eel Grass. There is always plenty of wildlife and depending when you are here you could see birds that include Oyster-Catcher, Lapwing, Sandpiper, Curlew, Golden Plover, various Terns, Herons and Ducks, and in the later months of the year up to 10,000 Brent Geese visit before returning to Siberia. You may well be lucky and spot a seal or two - they live in the Solent and often come to visit us.
So one minute you can be swimming and building sand castles, and the next you can be running through the dunes having fun discovering loads about the nature that surrounds us.
